Headshot of attorney Jennifer Brugh

Jennifer Brugh

Attorney

Jen began her legal career in 2011 after graduating from Chicago-Kent College of Law. After almost seven years with a national tax resolution company, Jen formed her own law firm, JRB Law, LLC, in 2018 to focus on guiding small business owners through the myriad of confusing tax laws and regulatory rules they face.

Jen relishes helping clients navigate the legal side of owning and operating a business. From formation to exit, there are many decisions small business owners manage that can have serious financial and legal implications. Deciding what type of entity to form, filing the proper paperwork to comply with federal and state laws, trying to protect themselves from liability, and negotiating contracts can be overwhelming while also trying to get clients or market a product.

Jen joined G & G Law as an Of Counsel Attorney in February 2020 and found another avenue for her passion for helping small business owners. Through G & G, she has fallen in love with small business transaction law in new ways, including the buying and selling of businesses, negotiating commercial leases, and drafting and reviewing contracts. In 2023, she joined the firm as a full-time attorney.

Jen is a licensed attorney in Illinois and is authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, the Illinois Department of Revenue, and other taxing and regulatory authorities. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Jen was born and raised in Arkansas and moved to Illinois in 2007. She lives in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago where she is an active member of her community, including serving as an officer on the Gross Park Advisory Council. When not in the office, Jen can usually be found in her kitchen. She is an avid at-home cook who loves dreaming up new recipes and sharing them with her family, friends, and neighbors.
